Polishe artist Dorota Jurczak (b. 1978) studied in Germany and is now based in Palermo.

She is best know for making “analogue” work with a strong sense of the hand-made and her own folkloric aesthetics. Texture, colour and the physical quality of materials are all central to her drawings, paintings and print works.

She has had solo exhibitions at Bergen Kunsthall, Etablissement d'en face projects, PS1 in New York.

Her works are held by the collections of Mu.ZEE, Ostend, Hammer Museum and MoMA.
