Iranian artist Negar Ghiamat (b. 1983) exhibited with Kristof De Clercq gallery in Ghent, but is based in Tehran where she completed her MFA.

Her paintings fuse the abstract and representational, colour and graphic forms. This piece references historic teardrop paisley shapes seen often in textiles, while at the same time echoing neo-naive and modernist approaches to painting.

She has exhibited in group exhibitions internationally in Brussels, Antwerp, Deinze, Ghent, Berlin, Silkeborg, and Bergen.
