Richard Rezac (b. 1952) created sculpture through a determined process in which meticulous geometry is combined with a deep feeling for color and shape.

His objects avoid representation, symbolism, or illustration, but at the same time exude a certain familiarity, and invite us to explore the multiple layers and possible readings.

Rezac, who works with Isabella Bortolozzi Gallery and is based in Chicago, has had 32 solo exhibitions since 2000 including shows at Bluffer Art Museum, Houston, The Renaissance Society, Chicago and Portland Art Museum, Oregon.
