Macedo was born in Luxembourg in 1995 to Portuguese parents and graduated from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, where he is still based. 

His small scale paintings on canvas – and sometimes metal - balance references to personal and art history. He focuses on the odd fragments of interiors or domestic work, while equally touching on the aesthetics of Catholicism and the sublime. 

Macedo has shown with Gianni Manhattan and has had recent solo exhibitions at Kunstraum Remise and Franz Josefs Kai 3.
