Christiane Blattmann - 2024

Unclosed

Christiane Blattmann (b. 1983) is a German sculptor working with tactile materials like silicone, pigment, silk, jute, stone and metal.

She creates intricate connections of things, relationships, and figures.

Her works are reflections on elementary questions of architecture that can be asked in the interplay between sculpture and everyday environments such as urbanism or fashion.

Working with Damian and the Love Guru in Brussels, the wall based pieces here were originally shown at Liste exploring the motif of the watershed - drainage areas of land that guide runoff to a common low point - and thus our relationship with nature.
