Sofie Muller - 2013
Sofie Muller (b. 1974) created installations, sculptures and works on paper that explore the human condition, vulnerability and our inner psyche.
This image was made from a series of work made with candle wax and smoke.
Here an image of a face being blown away directly plays with the exhibition’s concept of nuance and the avoidance of the limits of the binary.
Represented by Geukens & De Vil gallery, she has exhibited at M HKA, Krakow’s Museum Of Contemporary Art, Palazzo Fortuny and recently won best pavilion at the Malta Biennial.
