Marcel Berlanger - 2023

Salix Alba « tristis »

Marcel Berlanger (b. 1965) is a Brussels-based artist whose large scale paintings sit between figuration, abstraction and installation.

At the heart of these works is a fascination with light and its effect on perception and how it moves through pictorial space.

His images aim to reveal the painting process, here drawing on the history of landscape painting as much as more contemporary digital aesthetics.

His work is included in several public collections such as SMAK, M-Museum Leuven and Musée d'Ixelles in Belgium.
