Based in Düsseldorf where he studied at the Kunstakademie underKaterina Grosse, Polish artist Paul Czerlitzki (b. 1986) works as a painter,guiding pigments and paint in an indirect manner that balances betweencontrol and letting go.

This is work that aims to make the very nature of materiality become visible. 

His physical process becomes part of what the work is, how fast paint dries and what way it behaves. 

Czerlitzki has exhibited extensively in Germany including Kunstmuseum Bonn, Musée Leopold Hoesch, Düren and Kölnischer Kunstverein and we as at BEIGE in Brussels.
