Ulrike Theusner - 2024

Ghost tree

German artist Ulrike Theusner (b. 1982) creates paintings, etchings and drawings.

Theusner’s images reference the grotesque and seductive nature of artists like Goya and Otto Dix.

Many of her characters wear historical costume and she speaks about her characters as actors within a play.

She is also interested in directing attention towards today’s political and social inequalities. She is represented by EIGEN + ART in Berlin, and has exhibited extensively at kunsthalles and kunstvereins across Germany.
