Born in Jiangmen, Guangdong in 1991. Now lives and works in Guangzhou,China. 

Ou Tingzhu’s work focuses on "towers" (Pagoda) as the main objects of description. 

Shifting from the previous mixed lacquer objects he removes their functionality transforming them into independent and static three-dimensional lacquer pieces, with "cutting" and "dust" as the shared element running through the entire series. 

The "Tower" series of works is based on his past yearning for towering and sharp shapes, exploring the common image of people's worship and the transferal of power into objects from ancient to modern times.

Through his work he seeks to restructure and balance the relationship between material, time, and body.
