Danish artist Cecilie Norgaard (b. 1991), a recent graduate from the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, creates image of strange landscapes and interior compositions that aim to unpick ideas around aesthetics, artistic production and socio-economic living conditions.

Her ambiguous works are often filled with architectural structures, transport vehicles and office furniture. She depicts scenarios at the liminal spaces of existence – questioning the meaning and visual structures of painting itself.

Norgaard has had solo exhibitions at Rinde am Rhein, Matteo Cantarella and galeriepcp, and is just opening her first institutional solo show at O-Overgaden in Copenhagen.
