Edith Dekyndt - 2007
Belgian artist Edith Dekyndt (b. 1960) works across video, sculpture, installation, drawing and sound to subtly address questions around light, time and space.
Her work makes transient phenomenon - such as the momentary passing of ink through water - frozen into artwork that are conceptually and materially complex. Here time becomes a tangible material.
Dekyndt, who works with Galerie Greta Meert, has exhibited at the Riga Biennial, Kunsthalle Hamburg, Wiels, Le Consortium and at the Punta Della Dogana in Venice.
