Gioele Amaro - 2024
Italian artist Gioele Amaro (b. 1986) works with AI and algorithms to construct and transform the dialogue between traditional mediums and new technologies.
His works are digitally painted before being printed on canvas. Each canvas is meticulously reworked with layers of varnish. By bringing his own touch to this original technique, Amaro shifts figurative representation into the abstract.
Represented by Almine Rech, Amaro studied architecture and worked in the studio of Jean Nouvel, as well as for Francesco Vezzoli, and had solo show at Philharmonie de Paris and Maison Valentino.
