刘丽君 Liu Lijun - 2024

悬置 系列019 Epoche Series 019

Born in Fuzhou, Fujian province in 1992. Now lives and works in Fuzhou,China.

The artist Liu Lijun distils many abstract symbols of industrial civilization, creating a strong sense of spatial folding. His pieces attempt to unearth the complex relationships hidden between the current era and human emotions, resulting in works that embody significant contrast and contradiction.

In his new works, the artist strips away the hard exterior, revealing edges that resemble wounds—fragile and sensitive.

These works are self-contained, yet akin to a Möbius strip, where the inside and outside form a continuously changing dialectical relationship.

A careful examination of the artist's abstract images seems to evoke a collective life experience and bodily memory, both concise and stunning.
