Humanitarian aid on the frontlines

Navigating crises, conflict, and the future of relief efforts (Please note that the talk starts at 7h30 PM.)

Gaza, Ukraine, Eastern Congo… As conflicts multiply and geopolitical instability grows, the humanitarian space is increasingly under threat. War zones, restricted access, and political pressures make it ever more difficult for aid organisations to reach those in need. How do organisations like Médecins Sans Frontières continue their work in such hostile environments? What strategies ensure access to vulnerable populations amid shifting crises?

This discussion brings together leading experts with firsthand experience in some of the world’s most challenging conflict zones. An award-winning journalist who has reported from global crisis regions, a former Director General of Médecins Sans Frontières, a humanitarian strategist who has led operations in Afghanistan, Ukraine, Chechnya, and Rwanda, and a specialist in European humanitarian aid policies will share their insights on the evolving landscape of humanitarian action and the challenges that lie ahead.
